Alas the time has come for me to part with the rest of my trees. I can no longer endure painful sessions working on each. I have severe arthritis which sadly won’t be getting any better.

I Can’t Wait to Glaze

There is some new Stone Monkey Ceramics on the horizon

Stone Monkey Ceramics

As some of you know the Stone Monkey Kiln is of a reasonable size and, at the pace I work at, plus working on the house, it does take me a while to get enough work together to fill it up. After getting enough ware together this weekend I did a bisque firing, in between tiling more of the kitchen floor. I was really pleased that the kiln gods smiled on me when I opened the kiln this morning.
And so the next stage follows and I now have to think glazes and finished on about 40 pieces of ware ranging from Bonsai pots, Chawan, Yunomi and a couple of lidded vessels.

Southend Bonsai Society 35th Show 26th & 27th July

If MBS members get the chance to visit its worth it for the demo by Paul Finch alone. Look forward to seeing you if you make the trip down Southend way this Sunday coming

Stone Monkey Ceramics

This weekend sees the Southend Bonsai Society show taking place at Bushukan Bonsai Nursery in Hockley, Essex. There will be a bonsai Demo by the fantastic bonsai artist Paul Finch and I will be doing some pottery demos on the Sunday, the show runs from 11:00- 4:00pm each day.
