Have a great evening all of our MBS friends.
The next meeting is on Monday 6th January 2014 – General Workshop
Dog stylist Su Eld-Weaver is the first Brit to win the “Olympics” of dog grooming – after taking the lead with a dog dyed like a Japanese geisha girl.
The 38-year-old mum of four came top at the fiercely contested Hershey Expo in the US, with her precious poodle Dobby.
She took six months to perfect her Memoirs of a Geisha design and beat poodles coiffed as Yoda from Star Wars and Sesame Street’s Big Bird.
Su, of Rushden, Northants, told the Sunday People: “It was a brilliant feeling and it’s great to be the first Brit to win it. It’s so competitive.”
Until now the contest has been dominated by big American groomers, who crimp and dye with military precision.
But their paw efforts couldn’t match Dobby – who has previously appeared as a dragon in an English groomers’ contest.
Su started grooming while at school and has one ambition left – to be on the cover of Groomer to Groomer magazine.
The show was Doggy Styling on Channel 4 and had a “Bonsai” style tail, see it on catchup
